Declaration of Art Exhibition Information
In 1776, the Declaration of Independence proclaimed:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
In 2026, during the celebration of our Nation’s 250th birthday, the NAWAPA Declaration of Art announces:
We, the women of NAWAPA, pursue and demonstrate our own visions of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness in our art at the nation’s oldest club for artists. This exhibition explores diverse perspectives and techniques.

Juror: Kate Kern Mundie is a Philadelphia-based painter, teaching artist, and demonstration artist for Winsor & Newton. A graduate of Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, she paints landscapes and still lifes rooted in observation and the study of light and colour. Through her teaching and writing, she encourages artists to explore materials, ideas, and personal vision in their work.

Fee: 2 paintings for $25. All artwork must be labeled with the name of the artist, name of the artwork, medium, and price. Labels must be printed and not handwritten
Size: One painting no larger than 40” including frame; second painting any size from 5”x10” to 20”x30”. One work will be selected from each artist by a juror. Because of the historic nature of the room, art will be selected by a juror based on fit for display in a original room built in 1860.
Pick up dates: After closing Sunday, July 26 at 3 PM or Wednesday, July 29 or Friday, July 31 from 1 – 5 PM
